About Nambung

Nambung is a locality in the Wheatbelt region of Western Australia, near the coastal town of Cervantes approximately 200 km north of Perth. The name is from an Indigenous Australian word possibly meaning crooked or winding, used for the Nambung River that flows through the area. The locality adjoins Nambung National Park, renowned for the Pinnacles Desert.
