About Dewhurst
Dewhurst is a locality in the Shire of Cardinia, about 48 km south-east of Melbourne, in the foothills of the Dandenong Ranges. Much of the original settlement now lies beneath the waters of the Cardinia Reservoir, completed in 1973, which the locality contains part of. The surrounding bushland is popular for picnics, and Mount Dandenong is visible from the area.
