About Preston (Tas.)
Preston is a small village in the Central Coast Council area of Tasmania, about 19 km south of Ulverstone. Its post office operated from 1896 until 1981, and the village primary school, which closed in 1994, is now a private residence. Preston Falls, a 25-metre plunge waterfall above the Gunns Plains, lies in the surrounding hills.
