About Fredericksfield

Fredericksfield is a rural locality in the Shire of Burdekin in North Queensland, situated approximately 8.4 kilometres south of Home Hill and 20 km south of Ayr. The area lies within the Burdekin River delta and is dominated by sugarcane farming, consistent with the wider Burdekin district which contributes a significant share of Queensland's annual sugar output. The North Coast railway line runs along the eastern boundary of the locality.
