Osborne is a rural locality in the Shire of Burdekin, about 10 kilometres south-west of Home Hill on the low-lying alluvial floodplain north of the Burdekin River. The area is characterised by intensive sugarcane farming supported by irrigation from the Burdekin Haughton Water Supply Scheme.
