About Inkerman (Qld)
Inkerman is a small rural town and locality 20 kilometres south of Ayr on the Bruce Highway, named after the Inkerman pastoral station established around 1864. The flat coastal land is dominated by sugarcane cultivation, and Mount Inkerman provides panoramic views over the Burdekin cane flats and the sugar mill near Home Hill.
