About Mooloolaba

Mooloolaba is a coastal suburb of Maroochydore on the Sunshine Coast of Queensland, at the mouth of the Mooloolah River. It is a popular tourist destination known for its surf beach, esplanade restaurants and shops, the SEA LIFE marine park and a harbour home to a large fishing fleet. The name, adopted in the early 1920s, is thought to come from an Aboriginal word meaning snapper fish.
