About Minyama
Minyama is a canal estate suburb of Kawana Waters in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, located eight kilometres south-east of Maroochydore and 98 kilometres north of Brisbane. Situated on the Mooloolah River and almost entirely surrounded by water with artificially constructed harbours and waterways, the suburb was named in 1967, believed to be an Aboriginal word for wildflowers. Nicklin Way is the main thoroughfare with large retail outlets and Kawana Shoppingworld is nearby.
