About Buddina

Buddina is a coastal suburb of Kawana Waters in the Sunshine Coast Region, Queensland, Australia. The name, an Aboriginal word meaning "sunbeam", was adopted in 1967 on the recommendation of developer Alfred Grant Pty Ltd. Located between Point Cartwright at the mouth of the Mooloolah River and Wurtulla, the suburb fronts the Coral Sea to the east with a long sandy beach, while its western portion forms a canal estate. Buddina contains Kawana Shoppingworld, one of the largest retail centres on the Sunshine Coast. Its foreshore features a linear reserve with surf life-saving facilities.
