About Ryan (Qld)
Ryan is a mixed-use suburb on the eastern side of the Leichhardt River in Mount Isa, combining residential areas in the south-west with industrial zones to the north and east. Named in 1973 after a wartime hospital superintendent, it sits roughly 3 kilometres from Mount Isa's CBD in a semi-arid outback setting.
