About Menzies (Qld)
Menzies is a suburb of Mount Isa in the Queensland Outback, located immediately north of the Mount Isa CBD on the townside east of the Leichhardt River. The suburb features Good Shepherd Catholic College, the Buchanan Park Events Complex which hosts the Mount Isa Rotary Rodeo, and the Mount Isa Race Club. The local economy is centred on copper, silver and lead-zinc mining in the surrounding Selwyn Range.
