About Wights Mountain

Wights Mountain is a semi-rural locality in the City of Moreton Bay in Queensland, located about 28 kilometres north-west of the Brisbane CBD in the Samford Valley. Named after selector George Wight who settled in the area in the 1860s, the locality features bushland acreage properties on hilly terrain adjacent to D'Aguilar National Park and Samford Conservation Park. The Samford Valley Steiner School and several Aboriginal bora ground sites are notable local features, and the area offers access to bushwalking and mountain biking trails.
