About Carbrook
Carbrook is a suburb in the City of Logan, Queensland, Australia, located 38 kilometres south-east of Brisbane. Originally settled by German immigrants and named Gramzow in 1867, it was renamed Carbrook in 1916 during World War I due to anti-German sentiment. The suburb features a heritage-listed Lutheran cemetery and an original 1877 school building on the Queensland Heritage Register. It has a rural-residential character with agriculture and the Bayside Wake Park on the Logan River.
