About Kholo
Kholo is a rural locality on the extreme western edge of Brisbane, bounded by the Brisbane River to the south and west. Despite being in the City of Brisbane local government area, it is only 10 kilometres by road from Ipswich, and the Dandy and D'Aguilar Ranges rise to the north. Grazing on native vegetation, rural residential and bushland reserves are the main land uses, and the historic Kholo Bridge, opened in 1876, crosses the river to Chuwar.
