About Lake Manchester
Lake Manchester is a locality in south-east Queensland, split between the City of Brisbane and the Somerset Region, about 30 kilometres west of the Brisbane CBD. It surrounds the reservoir of the same name, created by a dam on Cabbage Tree Creek built between 1912 and 1916 as one of Queensland's earliest water-supply dams for Brisbane. Much of the locality is undeveloped mountain terrain on the south-western D'Aguilar Range, including part of D'Aguilar National Park.
