About Chuwar

Chuwar is a town and suburb split between the City of Ipswich and the City of Brisbane in South East Queensland, about 6 kilometres north of the Ipswich central business district on the Brisbane River. The name was given to the parish by surveyor James Warner in 1848 and is thought to be the Ugarapul name for the district. The suburb includes Colleges Crossing, a popular riverside park on the Brisbane River.
