About Stratford (Qld)

Stratford is a suburb of Cairns, Queensland, Australia, located seven kilometres north-north-west of the CBD. Settled in 1877, it is bounded by the Barron River and the Captain Cook Highway. It features a heritage trail with 51 sites, including a Queensland Heritage Register-listed explosives magazine built in 1901, along with a library, community hall, and St Augustine's Catholic Church.
