About Barron Gorge
Barron Gorge is a rural locality in the Cairns Region of Queensland, named for the gorge cut by the Barron River through the Macalister and Lamb ranges. Almost the entire locality is undeveloped land within the Barron Gorge National Park. Barron Gorge Road gives access to the Barron Gorge hydroelectric power station, and the Skyrail rainforest cableway passes overhead with a stop at Red Peak.
