About Allanooka
Allanooka is a sparsely populated locality in the Shire of Irwin in the Mid West region of Western Australia, between Dongara and Geraldton. The Allanooka Swamp, once renowned for spring displays of Geraldton Wax, has supplied the district town water since 1965, and the former Allanooka Inn, a wayside hostelry known locally as the Hunting Kangaroo Arms, dates from the 1860s.
