About Tabor

Tabor is a regional locality in the Shire of Southern Grampians in the Western District of Victoria, Australia, named after Tabor in Bohemia, now part of the Czech Republic. The area was settled by German Lutheran families from the mid-1850s. A Lutheran church was built at Tabor in 1861 and replaced in 1884 by a new church of bluestone construction, and the heritage-listed Bethlehem Lutheran Church complex includes a later Gothic Revival church dedicated in 1912.
