About Croxton East
Croxton East is a farming locality in the Southern Grampians Shire, about 25 kilometres east of Hamilton in Victoria's Western District. The gently undulating country features productive volcanic soils used for broadacre cropping, sheep grazing and livestock, near the shores of Lake Linlithgow. The district was settled by German Lutheran families in the 1850s and 1860s, and retains several heritage-listed homesteads from that era.
