About Gazette

Gazette is a locality in the Warrnambool and South West region of Victoria, about 10 kilometres south-west of Penshurst in the Southern Grampians, on the Eumeralla River at the edge of the Mount Rouse lava flow. The squatting run called Gazette dates from the early 1840s and was acquired by Robertson and Sons in 1870; the heritage-listed Gazette Homestead, built in 1895 to a design by Ballarat architect Percival Richards, still stands on the property.
