About Nangana
Nangana is a bounded rural locality in the Shire of Cardinia in Victoria, about 56 kilometres from Melbourne in the hills east of the city. It has no town centre today, though post offices operated in the area in the 1900s, with an office opening in 1902 and the last closing in 1964. The name is thought to come from an Aboriginal word meaning to compare or examine.
