About Cora Lynn
Cora Lynn is a rural locality in the Shire of Cardinia in Victoria, about 68 kilometres south-east of Melbourne, in the area of the former Koo Wee Rup Swamp. The origin of the name is uncertain, though Cora Lynn was a popular name for nineteenth-century villas. A post office opened in 1907 and the state school, first known as Koo-Wee-Rup West, operated until 1951. The locality has an Australian rules football and netball club.
