About Three Bridges
Three Bridges is a locality in the Shire of Yarra Ranges in Victoria, on the Yarra Junction-Noojee Road in the forested hills east of Melbourne. It developed as a timber-getting settlement on the Little Yarra River, with a post office from 1914. From 1913 the locality was served by the narrow-gauge Powelltown tramway, which carried sawn timber from the local sawmills to the railway at Yarra Junction.
