About Gilderoy
Gilderoy is a locality in the Yarra Ranges in Victoria, on the Yarra Junction to Noojee Road west of Powelltown. In the early 1900s the area was dense timber country, and from 1907 a horse-drawn tramway ran from Gilderoy to Yarra Junction, carrying timber cut by paling splitters to the railway.
