About East Warburton
East Warburton is a town in Victoria, 67 kilometres east of Melbourne's central business district, within the Shire of Yarra Ranges. It lies on the upper Yarra River in the Yarra Ranges, where timber milling was the main industry in the early 20th century. The town is the gateway to the Cement Creek Redwood Forest, a heritage-listed plantation of Californian redwoods established in the 1920s that is now a popular visitor attraction.
