About Wateranga

Wateranga is a rural locality in the North Burnett region of Queensland, about 28 km north-west of Biggenden. The Burnett River forms its western and northern boundaries, and the river is impounded there by Paradise Dam to create Lake Paradise. The dam is named after the gold-mining town of Paradise, which was abandoned in the early 1900s and later flooded by the dam.
