About Mingo
Mingo is a rural locality in the North Burnett Region of Queensland, on the Burnett River between Mount Perry and Gayndah. The river, now impounded as part of Lake Paradise, forms the locality's western boundary and is crossed there by the historic Mingo Crossing ford on the Gayndah Mount Perry Road. The district's early schools operated from 1898 until 1954.
