About Didcot
Didcot is a sparsely populated rural locality in the North Burnett Region of Queensland, situated along the Gooroolba-Biggenden Road with historical ties to the now-closed Mungar-Monto railway line. The surrounding land is primarily used for beef cattle grazing and mixed farming typical of the North Burnett, and Mount Shamrock — within the broader district — was declared a goldfield in 1886. The locality is characterised by expansive farming and grazing country with two decommissioned railway stations that once served the district.
