About Granville (Qld)

Granville is a mixed-use locality in the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, located two and a half kilometres east of Maryborough and 271 kilometres north of Brisbane. The Mary River forms the north-western and most of the south-western boundary. Granville State School, opened in 1875 and renamed from Maryborough East State School in 1938, features a war memorial unveiled in 1921 with 53 names from World War I. The heritage-listed Granville Bridge, opened on 11 December 1926, is a concrete bridge with a steel lifting span. Brendan Hansnen Park includes a skatepark and off-leash dog park.
