About Dundathu
Dundathu is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region, approximately 10 kilometres north of Maryborough along the Mary River. Named from an Indigenous word for the kauri pine, the area was the site of William Pettigrew's pioneering sawmill established in 1863, and features two sites on the Fraser Coast Local Heritage Register.
