About Aldershot
Aldershot is a rural town and locality in the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, Australia, located eight kilometres north-west of Maryborough. Named after Aldershot in England, it was a former industrial town home to the Queensland Smelting Company, which operated from 1893 to 1906. The locality is near Lenthalls Dam, popular for fishing and boating, and has transitioned to a rural residential character.
