About Boonooroo Plains
Boonooroo Plains is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, about 12 km south-east of Maryborough. Most of the locality lies within Poona National Park, gazetted in 1994, which protects low-lying coastal plains supporting shorebirds such as the threatened eastern curlew and the endangered little tern.
