About Aramara
Aramara is a rural locality in the Fraser Coast Region of Queensland, situated about 42 kilometres west of Maryborough along the Maryborough-Biggenden Road. The name derives from the Kabi language word for many spotted gum trees, reflecting the area's natural landscape. Historically associated with dairying, cattle raising and timber, Aramara is home to the heritage-listed Our Lady of the Way Catholic Church, consecrated in 1950.
