About Rowes Bay

Rowes Bay is a coastal suburb of Townsville in north Queensland, situated approximately 4 kilometres north-west of the Townsville central business district along the shores of Cleveland Bay. The suburb takes its name from Charles Seville Rowe, one of the first settlers at Cleveland Bay, and features a sweeping 10-kilometre beach with views of Magnetic Island. The Townsville War Cemetery and Belgian Gardens Cemetery are located within the suburb, along with the Queensland Police Service Academy North Queensland campus.
