About Pimlico (Qld)
Pimlico is a residential suburb of Townsville in the City of Townsville, Queensland, located five kilometres south-west of the Townsville CBD. Situated on traditional Wulgurukaba Aboriginal country, the suburb is believed to be named after the London suburb of Pimlico. Pimlico is home to the Mater Misericordiae Hospital, Townsville's largest private hospital, the Castletown Shopping Centre and Anderson Park, a 20-hectare arboretum with fine pandanus specimens.
