About Gulliver

Gulliver is an inner residential suburb of Townsville in the City of Townsville, Queensland, located seven kilometres south-west of the Townsville CBD and 1,356 kilometres north-north-west of Brisbane. Named after Thomas Allen Gulliver, telegraph master of Townsville, the suburb is on traditional Wulgurukaba Aboriginal country. Gulliver is home to Currajong State School, opened in 1954, Pimlico State High School, opened in 1959, and the Townsville campus of Queensland Pathways State College, which specialises in students who have difficulties with mainstream education.
