About Mundingburra
Mundingburra is a residential suburb of Townsville, Queensland, located on the southern bank of the Ross River approximately 6 kilometres south-west of the city centre. The area was subdivided in 1877 on largely rural land. Notable features include Anderson Park and its botanic gardens, Aplin's Weir crossing the Ross River, and several schools including The Cathedral School of St Anne and St James, which relocated to the suburb in 1958. The suburb falls within the electoral district of Mundingburra.
