About Annandale (Qld)
Annandale is Townsville's largest and most populated suburb, about 6 km southwest of the CBD along the southern bank of the Ross River. Developed as the city's largest planned housing estate from the mid-1970s, it features the Annandale Wetlands adjacent to the river and is close to the Townsville Stadium and Townsville University Hospital. The suburb has a family-oriented, suburban character with flat terrain and well-serviced schools and sporting facilities.
