About Forest Glen (Qld)
Forest Glen is a rural residential locality in the Sunshine Coast Region of Queensland, located 7.7 kilometres west-southwest of Maroochydore. The locality was named for its forested glen setting. Eudlo Creek, a tributary of the Maroochy River, is the main waterway and the western boundary follows the Bruce Highway. The Harmony Montessori School relocated here in 2015 reopening as Montessori International College on a 22-hectare property. Sunshine Coast Grammar School, owned by the Presbyterian and Methodist Schools Association, opened in 1997. Moonshine Valley Winery and the Forest Glen Deer Sanctuary are notable attractions. Notable Australian artist Hugh Sawrey, founder of the Australian Stockman's Hall of Fame, was born here.
