About Chevallum

Chevallum is a rural locality in the Sunshine Coast hinterland, west of the Bruce Highway. The name comes from the Gubbi Gubbi word "cha-balan" meaning "flat place". Eudlo Creek, a tributary of the Maroochy River, flows through the area. Chevallum State School opened in 1921.
