About Tuen
Tuen is a former town site in south-western Queensland on the Mitchell Highway, near the Warrego River and close to where Tuen Creek joins it. Surveyed as a settlement in the 1880s, town lots were first offered for sale in April 1881, and a hotel operated there into the 1920s and 1930s. Today the town grid has been absorbed into grazing country with no buildings remaining.
