About Eulo

Eulo is an outback town in the Shire of Paroo, Queensland, on the Paroo River about 68 km west of Cunnamulla. It grew during the opal mining boom of the 1880s, when publican and opal trader Isabel Gray, known as the Eulo Queen, kept hotel in the town. It hosts an annual lizard racing championship and is subject to flooding of the Paroo River.
