About Barringun
Barringun is a rural locality on the Queensland-New South Wales border on the Warrego River. The Zero Obelisk within the locality marks the first official survey of the inter-colonial border. The abandoned border customs town of Wooroorooka lies within its boundaries. The area was also the subject of poems by Scottish-Australian bush balladeer Will H. Ogilvie.
