Fisher is a suburb of Mount Isa in north-west Queensland, located on the townside east of the Leichhardt River roughly 2.6 kilometres from the Mount Isa CBD. It was named after Sir George Fisher, Chairman of Mount Isa Mines from 1953 to 1970. The suburb sits within the City of Mount Isa local government area and is part of the broader mining community.
