About Bellevue (Qld)

Bellevue is a sparsely populated rural locality in the Shire of Mareeba in Far North Queensland, bounded to the north by the Mitchell River and crossed in its south-west corner by the Burke Developmental Road. The locality was once home to the short-lived copper-mining town of Ok, whose heritage-listed mine operated intermittently between 1909 and 1942, and the land is today used for grazing on native vegetation.
