About Mount Mulgrave
Mount Mulgrave is an outback locality in the Shire of Mareeba in far north Queensland. The Mitchell River forms its southern boundary and drains to the Gulf of Carpentaria, and the locality lies within Mount Mulgrave pastoral station, with grazing on native vegetation the main land use. The mountain of the same name was named by explorer William Hann in 1872 after the Earl of Mulgrave.
