About Cape Conway
Cape Conway is a coastal locality in the Whitsunday Region of central Queensland, roughly 15 km south of Airlie Beach. The entire locality lies within Conway National Park, covering mountainous undeveloped bushland set aside for nature conservation. It takes its name from Cape Conway, named by Lieutenant James Cook in 1770 after the English politician Henry Seymour Conway.
