About Palm Grove (Qld)
Palm Grove is a small rural locality in the Whitsunday Region of Queensland, situated approximately 14 kilometres east of Proserpine in the tropical lowlands near the Whitsunday coast. The agricultural land at low elevation enjoys the region's warm tropical climate with a distinct wet season, and sits within easy reach of the Whitsunday Islands and Airlie Beach tourist precinct. Palm Grove State School operated intermittently from 1916 to 1951, and today residents rely on Proserpine for schools, shopping and access to the Proserpine Whitsunday Coast Airport.
